Mortgage advice that works for you, not a bank.
A bank can only ever sell you its own products. Our job is different: we sit on your side of the table, compare the whole market, and stay with you for the life of the loan. Here’s exactly how that works, including how we get paid.

is what our service typically costs you. We’re paid by the lender you choose.
Broker vs bank: what’s the difference?
Here’s how our story unfolds together.
We have a proper chat
Over the phone, in person, or over coffee. We’ll ask about your goals, your timeline, and what keeps you up at night when it comes to money.
We do the heavy lifting
We research across 90+ lenders, run the numbers, and come back with a shortlist of options that genuinely suit your situation, with honest pros and cons.
We guide you through the paperwork
No jargon, no confusion. We explain every document, handle every form, and keep you updated at every stage.
Settlement, and beyond
We celebrate with you when the keys arrive. Then we keep checking in, monitoring rates, and making sure your loan keeps working as hard as you do.
How we get paid. No secrets.
Brokers have a reputation for hidden fees they don’t deserve. Here’s our arrangement, in full, so you never have to wonder.
Upfront commission
When your loan settles, the lender pays us a one-off commission, usually 0.65% to 0.7% of the loan amount plus GST. It comes from the lender’s pocket, not yours.
Trail commission
The lender also pays an ongoing amount, usually around 0.15% per year of your remaining balance. It’s why we keep reviewing your loan year after year: looking after you is literally our job.
A $500,000 loan
The lender would pay us roughly $3,250 upfront (at 0.65%), then about $750 in the first year of trail, reducing as you pay the loan down. You pay the same rate either way; the lender pays us for bringing them a well-prepared customer.
What locals say on Google.
Fair questions about using a broker.
Do I have to take the loan you recommend?+
Never. We bring you a shortlist with honest pros and cons and you choose. If none of them feel right, we keep looking or you walk away, no strings.
Are you tied to certain lenders?+
We’re independent and not owned by any bank. Our panel covers 90+ lenders, and our legal duty is to act in your best interests, not theirs.
If the lender pays you, doesn’t that bias the advice?+
Commission rates are very similar across lenders, so there’s little to gain from steering you anywhere. And under the Best Interests Duty, we’re legally required to put you first. Banks carry no such duty.
When might a fee apply?+
Rarely, and only for unusually complex work. If your situation ever involves a fee, we’ll agree on it in writing before any work starts. No surprises, ever.
Sound like your kind of arrangement?
One conversation is all it takes to see whether we’re the right fit. No obligation either way.
